Planting Window: Early October – Late November

The ideal planting time depends on your region:

• Warm Climates (KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga): Start as early as the beginning of October.

• Cooler Climates (Gauteng, Free State, Northern Cape and parts of the Western Cape): Wait for frost to pass and start planting mid October to early November.

Stagger your plantings every 2 weeks through October and November for continuous blooms into summer!

Why Timing Matters

Gladiolus thrive in warm, well-drained soil and at least 7 hours of sunlight per day. Planting too early into cool soil may cause rot.
