We ship viable, intact tubers with a body, neck and crown. Eyes may not yet be visible on all tubers. Orders are shipped in October 2026 in the order they were received. 

Please inspect your tubers immediately upon arrival. Report any concerns within 5 days. After delivery, plant success depends on your growing conditions, care, and local weather.

All tubers are hand-divided and inspected for health and correct variety identification before packing.

Planting Instructions

Plant after the final spring frost once soil reaches 15°C. Choose well-drained, fertile soil and loosen to 30 cm deep. Mix compost and balanced fertiliser before planting. Position the tuber with the eye facing up and cover so the top of the tuber sits 10 cm below the soil surface. Water once at planting, then wait for visible sprouts before watering again.

Growing Tips

1. Avoid overwatering newly planted tubers to prevent rot.

2. Keep foliage dry; water deeply once or twice weekly.

3. Feed with organic liquid fertiliser every 3–4 weeks until March.

4. Deadhead regularly to encourage continuous blooms.

5. Cut long stems for bouquets to stimulate new growth.

6. Store or protect tubers over winter if necessary.

7. In most South African climates, tubers overwinter well in the ground.
