Alstroemeria Project

The Alstroemeria Project

For the past four years, we have been quietly working on something beautiful behind the scenes. While most people know us for our dahlias and gladiolus, another star has been growing steadily in the background: Alstroemerias, also known as Inca lilies.

What started a small experimental patch, that has grown into a full project of love, patience, and trial-and-error. We have been testing, selecting, dividing, and building strong stock of the very best varieties suited to South African gardens and local growing conditions. Some bloom like fireworks, some offer long vase life for cut flowers, and others bring truly striking colours that stop you right in your tracks.

We are now in the exciting stage of expanding our mother plants and organising the varieties, so that in the near future we can finally share these treasures with gardeners across the country. It has taken years, because good plants demand time, and we believe in getting it right before opening the gate.

We cannot wait to introduce the Alstroemeria Project to the public — carefully grown, well-tested, and full of colour. More updates coming soon. Stay tuned.
