Everything you need to know about ordering dahlia tubers and when to expect delivery.
Why are tubers "Not Available"?
Why are most of the dahlia tubers in the store "Not Available"?
Our dahlia tubers are still busy growing underground, but we have added a limited amount of early stock to the store for the pre-order sale.
Once we start lifting, checking, and dividing tubers in August, more stock will become available and will be added to the store on a weekly basis.
Please remember that all dahlia tubers are pre-orders and will only be shipped from early October 2026, at the correct planting time.
Please read this before you order
Our dahlia tuber sale is open, and I want to make sure you understand exactly how this pre-order works before the tuber madness begins.
You are pre-ordering dahlia tubers for October 2026 delivery. These are not being shipped now. Your tubers will be sent at the correct planting time in October.
You will receive one tuber per variety, not a clump. Each variety ordered is for one viable dahlia tuber.
The tubers are still actively growing underground. The tubers you are buying now are still in the soil and will only be dug up in August.
More stock may become available later. After we dig, check, and divide the tubers, more stock may be loaded weekly if extra tubers become available.
There is a small chance that a pre-ordered tuber may not be available. Because these tubers are still growing, some may be lost due to disease, damage, or poor production. If this happens, you will be notified by email and given 24 hours to choose another available variety. If we don’t hear back from you in time, shop credit will be added to your account.
Order More Than Once, Only Pay Shipping Once
You are more than welcome to place multiple orders before shipping starts. You can even order dahlias and gladiolus on separate orders.
After you place your first order for the season, the system will allow you to use the discount code FREE4ME at checkout and receive free shipping.
Just be aware that you have to be in the same login account with the same email address, otherwise the discount code will not work.
We will combine all your orders into one parcel when shipping begins. That way, you only pay the courier fee once.
Please use the same name and email address for all your orders so we can match everything correctly.
When Will My Dahlia Tubers Ship?
Shipping dahlia tubers is a big job, and we want to explain how the process works before the “where are my tubers?” emails start arriving in full bloom.
Our store opens in mid-May, which means customers place orders from May, through winter, and right up until shipping starts in October.
We work on a first-order, first-ship basis. This means the earliest orders are packed and shipped first. If you placed your order later in the season, for example in August, your order will only be packed once the May, June, and July orders before you have been processed.
We also combine orders for customers who ordered more than once, so they only pay courier fees once. For example, if someone ordered in May, again in June, and then added another order in September, we gather all those orders together, pack them into one parcel, and then move on to the next customer.
Please be patient with us during shipping season. We pack as quickly and carefully as possible, but this is a huge logistical job involving hundreds of orders, multiple order dates, combined parcels, living tubers and courier labels.
Your tubers will come. They are just waiting their turn in the great dahlia traffic jam.
