Growing Information

• Planting season: Autumn to early winter (April to June in South Africa)
• Flowering time: Late winter to early spring
• Height: 40 - 50cm
• Spacing: 10–15 cm apart
• Depth: 3–4 cm deep, claws facing down

Planting Instructions

1. Soak corms in room-temperature water for 2 to 3 hours to plump up.
2. Choose a location with full sun and light, well-drained soil.
3. Position with the “claws” facing down; cover lightly with soil.
4. Water in once; thereafter water when the top 2cm of soil begin to dry. Avoid soggy roots.
5. Once shoots appear, apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–3 weeks.
6. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
